The Section is carrying out extension work in the area of popularization of COIRRET & PITHPLUS, providing technical guidance to the entrepreneurs in setting up of coir based industrial units and demonstration of coir Geo-textiles in Kerala and other states including North Eastern States of India

To impart training to coir workers all over India
 
SERVICES
To conduct Training on Motorised Ratt Spinning & Traditional Ratt Spinning in Kerala and other States including North Eastern States
To conduct Demonstrations on conversion of Coir pith in to organic manure using Pithplus
To conduct demonstrations of using Coirret for reducing retting period
To conduct demonstrations for prevention of soil erosion of embankments and demonstration of mud wall protection using Coir Bhoovastra at various paddy fields
